This item is a quest reward, from the Rightie's Book quest. It is not required anywhere, so don't be afraid to use it.
Use[]
Contrary to what the tooltip says, this item will not increase your crafting or any other skill. Using it will create one of the following items, depending on your profession:
Loot window
These Kits are usable items as well. They create dice that will allow you to reroll the results of your profession. This can be useful if you are unhappy with an item you crafted or gathered, in which case you will be able to try again without losing materials or a gathering node.
For example, a Herbalist will receive 10 Flora Distorters, that will appear in the Currency tab of his character's panel. If he happens to gather a herb that he doesn't want, he will have the option of rerolling it and receive another, possibly better herb.
This is done in the loot window, by clicking on the dice. Every reroll will consume a Distorter (or the respective currency for other professions). Instead of Wilted Wormwood you will receive another herb, perhaps Potent Hops or something similar.
